View Vol. 11 No. 2 (2022): The privatization of and in education: strategies, subjects and contents in dispute

This dossier aims to deepen the debate about multiple forms of privatization of education that we experience in this particular period of capitalism, characterized, among other elements, by redefinitions in the role of the State. Researching the different subjects, their strategies and the contents of the disputed proposals is central to analyzing the relationship between public and private in education. In the current context, led by market representatives and neoconservative groups, this debate becomes urgent when we reflect on its implications for the process of democratization of education. In this special edition, #Tear: Journal of Education, Science and Technology proposes to discuss the various forms of materialization of privatization, its subjects and strategies at different levels and educational modalities.
