Due to the increase of students with autism spectrum disorder and the need of professionals with high mathematical and statistical skills aiming at technology 4.0, there is a demand for understanding the role of scientific research in the Teaching Mathematics in the process of inclusion. In this sense, this work aims to describe the main terms found to people with autism spectrum disorder in the scientific articles of math education, since it is common that these students have higher or lower-achieving in math discipline. For this, most cited articles from the Web of Science database were selected considering two main research areas: psychology and education. Using text mining techniques, an R-language program was developed to perform treatment and visualization of data. The results demonstrate the need most of the articles in each area deals with the topic of the other area and highlight the student's importance as a central concern in the studies carried out.
