View Vol. 13 No. 2 (2024): EDUCATION: THE INTEGRATION OF KNOWLEDGES

This special edition brings to light pedagogical processes built on dialogue and collaboration between different fields of knowledge. As a discipline, Education integrates all sorts of contributions from other sciences – and this bringing together of different contexts and realities supersedes fragmented pedagogical practices. The concept of “integration” here refers to the idea of the integral individual as a backdrop, as well as to integrating practices that draw on interdisciplinary, plural knowledges to focus on the integral education of the individual. By highlighting research carried out by professionals working in education and by bringing together academic research related to everyday educational practices, this thematic dossier aims to create a space for reflection through the exchange of experiences and the resignification of educational spaces and the role of education in society. Starting points for these reflections can be specific challenges in education, pedagogical and teaching practices, relevant contemporary issues and curriculum development with an integral approach to educational spaces, levels and modes.
