Environmental Awareness and Behaviors of Students in Professional Education

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to analyze the relationship between environmental awareness and behaviors of students of a State School of Professional Education (EEEP) in the State of Ceará. To do so, a descriptive and quantitative approach was conducted, conducted through a survey. Questionnaires were applied with 111 students in an EEEP in the interior of the state of Ceará. The questionnaire was composed of five questions aimed at the characterization of the respondents, twelve items to measure environmental awareness and sixteen items to measure environmental behaviors. For the data treatment, descriptive statistics, exploratory factorial analysis and correlation test were used. The results presented positive relationships between environmental awareness and students' environmental behaviors.

Atualmente, pertence ao quadro efetivo da Prefeitura Municipal de Sobral (PMS), ocupando o cargo de Professora de Ciências.
