Abstract

This article presents a different approach to learning notes, chords and musical harmony through memory games. Using dedicated games for each concept about notes and chords, players are gradually introduced to the fundamentals of music theory. As a result, to test their newly acquired knowledge, they answered questions related to the topic. This teaching methodology was tested with 102 students in the final years of elementary school, and this playful and melodic journey not only strengthened theoretical understanding, but also provided a practical and fun musical learning experience for both students and teachers.
