Contemporary Transversal Themes and teaching practice: reflections on the final years of Elementary School

Abstract

This article focuses on teaching practices in the final years of elementary school, and their implications in relation to the Contemporary Cross-Cutting Themes (CCTs) of the BNCC. The research reflects analytically on the use of CTIsc, through the balance between the theory of official documents and the practice of teachers working in the final years of elementary school. With a qualitative approach, the methodology to develop the work used exploratory research based on an experience report, bibliographic and documentary research techniques. The research results have allowed us to reflect on the use of TCTs in connection with official documents and teaching practices in the final years of elementary school, based on emerging concepts, especially in continuing education and knowledge integration. This paper also highlights the importance of understanding the organic nature of TCTs, which emerge from unpredictable situations and can be transformed into learning contexts linked to curricular components.
