Abstract

The present theoretical-philosophical study proposes to discuss conceptually the artistic experience of the old subject from the dance gesture in order to pursue the possibility of formation through the aesthetic experience in old age. For that, we take the reflections about the experience as a way to understand the aesthetic experience from the philosophical hermeneutics of Hans-Georg Gadamer. First, the reflections indicate that the aesthetic experience is essential for the occurrence of an aesthetic experience, and the artistic experience of the danced gesture presents itself as an adventure due to the exceptional character that surrounds it. Subsequently, it is argued that the aesthetic experience is intersubjectively established through play, in relation to a you. Finally, we defend the gesture of dance as a work of art capable of constituting other meanings for the artist's existence through the aesthetic experience.
