Abstract

The present work investigates playfulness as a teaching strategy in teaching Science in the final years of Elementary School, considering the challenges faced in Basic Education in the pandemic and post-pandemic context. To this end, a questionnaire was applied to Science teachers in a private education network, from which the perceptions and practices of teachers were analyzed in relation to the use of playful activities in teaching Science during the Covid-19 pandemic and their perspectives for the post-pandemic period. The results reveal that teachers recognize the importance of playfulness in promoting student learning, especially in the context of remote and hybrid teaching, such as the one faced during the pandemic. However, challenges and limitations were also identified in implementing these strategies, such as lack of time for planning playful and experimental activities, as well as learning how to use digital tools.
