Abstract

In order to reflect on teaching practice and on the evaluation of school learning, the present study is presented, in which 23 teachers from the Natural Sciences area of the Instituto Federal Farroupilha (IFFar) were interviewed. This research was conducted between July and September 2020, a time when the development of remote education activities had just begun. So, many teachers were still getting used to work with Information and Communication Digital Technologies (ICDTs) in view of the distance imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. For the data generation of this case study, a script of 26 questions was established, from the time of teaching in the classroom to the evaluation and if ICDTs are used for its realization. The analysis carried out followed Bardin's precepts (2011), with three categories in which the data were analyzed: public characteristics, teacher evaluation and practice, digital technologies and school evaluation. Therefore, based on data analysis, we found results showed us traditional teachers in the use of assessment, using the test as the main assessment instrument of the teaching-learning process. However, we observed new methodologies and tools are being used, especially with the advent of ICDTs.
