The present study aimed to map studies carried out on the structuring of Physical Education classes in High School, from a systematic review. The following electronic databases were used as sources of information for searching: LILACS, CAPES / MEC Journal Portal, Microsoft Academic. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria adopted, 12 articles contemplated the adequate requirements for the research. The parameters analyzed in the articles were as follows: authorship; year of publication; periodical; kind of study; target population; results related to the structuring of Physical Education classes in High School. Content analysis was used for data analysis. It became evident that the articles were published throughout the period defined by the present study (16 years). Studies reveal bias in describing the reality of Physical Education class structures with descriptive characteristics. As for the population of the studies, there was a predominance of research involving teachers, but there was also the participation of students and managers. Regarding the structure of classes, it was observed the occurrence of team sports as hegemonic content, traditional teaching approach, almost inexistence of interdisciplinarity and inadequate spaces as the main characteristics of Physical Education classes in High School. And, consequently, high rates of evasion and disinterest in the discipline. It is hoped, with the present article, to instigate more studies that make it possible to show the reality of Physical Education at school in order to bring together researchers and researched subjects so that they can dialogue, reflect on these contexts.
