Abstract: The article aims to investigate how the Continuing Teacher Education (FCP) programs of the primary school in Natural Sciences (CN) have been carried out and presented in national and international scientific productions between 2010 and 2020. The data described in this research consider 24 selected scientific articles based on scientometrics to analyze them. In the search process, six descriptors were used and 876,847 articles were found, however, only 24 met the objective of the study. In general, it was possible to observe the diversity of trainers and institutions, both national and international, which perform FCP with teachers from the initial years in CN. Among them, the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro/Brazil developed two FCP, and in only one of them, the training process offered by another institution without a link to the university was observed. The largest publication of scientific articles was in 2013, through two national and three international publications. Brazil was the country that published most articles, with emphasis on the Southeast region. Among the courses, three took place over 36 months, 14 focused on teaching CN, in the same training program, through theoretical and practical activities. Most of the courses (15) were developed in the participating school, but there was no follow-up by the researchers after the training. Finally, there are few national and international scientific researches on FCP in the initial years in CN. In addition to developing these training courses, it is also necessary to publish methods and behavioral steps to guide future researchers interested in implementing these courses.
