Abstract

This article consists of a bibliographical analysis in which we use the integrative literature review as a research method to think about how the theme of HIV/AIDS crosses Brazilian teacher education. The descriptors “teacher training”, “aids”, “HIV”, “school teachers”, “teaching”, “teacher training” and “initial training” were searched in the following databases: BVSalud, Edubase, Educ@, Google Academic and Scielo. The inclusion criteria used were articles, essays and academic reports, published between July/2011 and July/2021 available in full, classified as open access, in Portuguese. The search resulted in 9169 publications and, after careful consideration, we selected twenty six texts for reading and seven for the qualitative analysis. From them, we realize that the theme of HIV/AIDS is worked mainly in the training of health professionals, being made invisible and little present in Brazilian degrees and in the initial training of basic education teachers.

Keywords: HIV/AIDS. University Education. Teacher Training. Teaching. Sexuality.
