Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of scientific production in Critical Environmental Education (CEE) regarding its occurrence and characterization, advancing to an epistemological analysis from the theoretical and methodological approaches privileged by the theses and dissertations (T&D) that had as their object Instructional Sequences with CEE bias. With qualitative nature, it comprises a bibliographic study of the State-of-the-Art, and the data collection took place through searches by uniterms named by the themes on the website of the Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD) [Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations] conducted in April 2019.. We applied the Paradigmatic Scheme (PS) as a data analysis tool for logical reconstitution, that is, the technical, theoretical, methodological, epistemological, gnosiological and ontological levels of the selected T&D. The predominance of scientific production in the Southeast region is evident; also, Postgraduate Programs in Education and, consequently, the large area of ??Human Sciences is linked to most of the studies raised. It appears that the majority of T&D is classified as diachronic, although there is caution in the sense of criticism with the potential for further theoretical and ontological deepening necessary for social desalination and transformation.
