Abstract

Abstract: The Web is a key resource to our society, especially in the school. At school, it is commonly used for school research. In this activity, the Web is practically a natural partner. However, reports in academic publications denote that the conception about school research stayed away from the real meaning of a research, which implies a poor appropriation of the resources available online. Therefore, and having in mind the poor investigation about this topic, this study intends to identify how research teachers conceive school research and Web research, and how they are used. The results obtained confirm the initial hypothesis, reinforcing the resources poor utilization due to the major conception of scholar research as something different from real research. One can conclude that the scholar culture actually hinders the appropriation of research understanding as an activity related to scientific investigation.
