This call for papers proposes to reflect on the practices developed within and by the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID) in the articulation between university and basic education, emphasizing its potential in the construction of interdisciplinary practices and in the constitution of teaching as a reflective, situated, and socially committed practice. In the contemporary context, marked by reconfigurations in educational policies, the intensification of digital technologies, and the emergence of demands related to diversity, inclusion, and social justice, PIBID presents itself as a space for pedagogical experimentation and knowledge production. Those shifts have challenged traditional models of teacher training, which highlights the need for approaches that integrate knowledge, overcome curricular fragmentation, and promote collaborative practices. In this sense, it is important to understand to what extent these experiences contribute to the construction of teacher identity, to the re-signification of the relationship between theory and practice, and to the improvement of learning processes in basic education. This special edition invites the submission of manuscripts that present theoretical-critical studies and research results aiming at challenging, deepening, and expanding debates on initial and continuing teacher education and interdisciplinarity, reaffirming PIBID as a privileged space for pedagogical innovation and social commitment. It intends to contribute to deepening the debate on the role of PIBID in teacher education, reaffirming public schools as a locus of knowledge production and social transformation. Original scientific articles, produced by researchers holding master’s or doctoral degrees and aligned with the theme of the special edition, are welcome in this edition of #Tear: Journal of Education, Science and Technology.
