Abstract

The teaching practices organize and implement the education project intentionalities. The guidance in the Integrated High School curriculum demands the inclusion of integrating and interdisciplinary teaching practices which would promote the appreciation of individuals in their progress of formation and contribute to the development of their autonomy and emancipation. This study, through a qualitative approach featuring integrative review methodology, was conducted to characterize the teaching practices of teachers currently working with Integrated High Schools in Federal institutes checking on the objectivity of integration and interdisciplinary principals, by means of papers produced in the past five years, available on Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel and Scientific Electronic Library Online databases. The results indicate that the integration and the interdisciplinary are conceptually evident in Course Teaching Projects; hence, as a forming element of teachers' pedagogical practices, it still leaves the need to "become", demanding an institutional initiative and support for its effectiveness.
