Childhood and Children on Screen: Subjectivities in Dispute

The objective of this essay is to recognize the different images built on and for children within the scope of audiovisual productions. The text is conducted from the literature that addresses the aforementioned theme, the analysis and exemplification of works on the subject, whether filmmaking or social media, such as videos on YouTube and children's drawings. An adult-centered view of childhood is observed on the screens, which projects it from their point of view and aspirations, whether due to the desire to promote the problematization of issues that need to gain emphasis in the legitimation of their rights and spaces in the social sphere, or for the emergence of to present characters from the perspective of encouraging consumerism, a condition that disseminates ideal ways of living childhood in today's society. Such notes lead us to consider that children were and are the target of multiple projections on screens, assuming different roles and perspectives, in a complex network of senses and meanings. The promotion of moments of debate and reflection with the infants becomes the way to a human and emancipatory formation.
