Abstract: This study aims to analyze the support for training of master’s and PHDs and the scientific production of students supported by the Public Call for the Prevention and Combat of Zika virus. A descriptive analysis of the data related to the support to the training of human resources and a scientometric analysis about the scientific production of the students were carried out. From the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education database, it was verified the gender of the students, the number of scholarships granted, the universities, the grades of graduate programs and areas and basic areas of graduate programs. Scientific production was collected in the Web of Science database. It was found that support for the training of human resources was developed in several areas of knowledge and universities. About scientific production, 115 documents authored by students were found. In addition, it was possible to observe a significant network of collaboration among other countries. It is concluded that although part of the students has not yet graduated, the data is presented as favorable to a possible success of the Public Call about the training of human resources, since the investment collaborated with the development of scientific productions authored by the students, with the strengthening of the National Postgraduate System, as well as the instructions of qualified professionals.
